Qualifications:
- Female
- at least 23 years old
- at least High School Graduate
- Can communicate in English
- minimum of 2 years related experience (domestic helper, housekeeper, maid, house helper)
Applicants must have good traits such as being honest, hardworking, and responsible.
Applicants must be able to perform domestic and housekeeping tasks such as cleaning the house, cooking meals, washing clothes or doing laundry, taking care of children or elderly, assisting or running errands by the employer and other related tasks that may be required by the employer.

Please take note that the qualifications and requirements for Hongkong Domestic Helper hiring could be different per agency.
Some Filipinos are able to apply as Domestic Helper in Hongkong through direct hiring, but usually, they’re referred or recommended by other Domestic Helpers or employers in Hongkong.
Others say that it’s still better to apply through an agency to get the benefits that you deserve as an OFW and Domestic Helper in other countries.
Why Work as a Domestic Helper in Hongkong?
- Proposed Salary: HKD 4,310 (or Php 28,000) per month
- 1 day off or rest day per week (might be paid by the employer if you don’t use it)
- Hongkong have small families
- Working in Hongkong can be your stepping stone to working in Canada
- Hongkong has many tourist spots that you can visit during your days off
- Hongkong is just near the Philippines. Your family or friends can visit Hongkong and see you or you can have a short vacation (if allowed) to the Philippines. It won’t cost you that much compared when you travel from farther countries
- You have the chance to be part of OFW/Filipinos in Hongkong Communities and find new friends
Some Domestic Helpers (DH) who have worked in Hongkong have been lucky enough to migrate to Canada, Australia, and the United States. You can also be one of them.
Though working in Hongkong does not guarantee the same journey, it would still be worth trying. You never know what’s waiting for you until you try and take the risk.
