Benefits of Being a Pag IBIG Member
Pag IBIG Fund offers a lot of benefits to its members.
1. Pag IBIG Savings Programs
Aside from the benefits of the Pag-IBIG 1 program (Short-term loan and Provident loan), there’s also Pag-IBIG 2 or (MP2) which is an additional and voluntary five-year savings option offered to Pag-IBIG I members.
It provides you another opportunity to invest your hard earned money for your future.
What is MP2 or Modified Pag-IBIG II?
MP2 is a savings program that allows you to allocate a minimum amount of ₱500 per month in an investment that is rated to earn at a higher interest rate compared to savings and time deposit accounts on some banks. You can also deposit in lump sum if you wish to.
Monthly Contribution | Return in 5 YRs | Return in 10 YRs |
P500 | P34,921.79 | P81,655.02 |
P1,000 | P69,843.58 | P163,310.05 |
P1,500 | P104,765.37 | P244,965.07 |
P2,000 | P139,687.16 | P326,620.10 |
P5,000 | P349,217.90 | P816,550.25 |
*If dividend is set to 6% by Pag-IBIG |
Your savings in the MP2 program can be claimed after it matures in 5 years.
You may also opt to renew it if you like.
What’s good about MP2 is that your Total accumulated Value (TAV) will not be charged with 20% withholding tax unlike the savings and time deposit accounts in banks.
And since Pag-IBIG acts as a savings program, the more amount you put in translates to higher potential dividends and earnings in the future.
2. Pag IBIG Loan Programs
As a Pag IBIG member, you may avail of the various housing loan programs when the time comes that you already want to purchase or have your own property like a house and lot or a condo unit or even for home improvement.
And when you opt to contribute more than the minimum amount of Pag IBIG contribution, it increases your chances of getting approved for bigger loan amounts.
3. Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card
Pag IBIG has partnered with a lot of merchants that offer discount on their products and services.
- 5% to 50% discount on medicine
- 10% to 20% tuition fee discount
- 10 pesos off your LPG purchase
If you want to have your own Pag IBIG Loyalty Card, download and complete this form, then submit it to the nearest Pag-IBIG branch, and pay the 100-peso fee.
