What are the Qualifications of a Housekeeper
The specific details of qualifications of a housekeeper is given by the agency or employer. But usually, a housekeeper applicant must be at least 25 years old and must have the skills and experience as a housekeeper, a house maid or house help.
The housekeeper must be hard working, honest, flexible, easy to deal with, kind, caring, and other good characteristics and qualities.
The housekeeper must be able to speak and understand in English because that would be the language of communications with her employer and co-workers.
The housekeeper must be able to provide the required documents when applying for a job abroad.
How to Apply as a Housekeeper
Applying as a housekeeper must be done through the agency or directly at POEA. In the list of housekeeping positions available above, there is also the name of agency where you can apply for the job.
You may contact the agency personally to inquire for their requirements, schedule of interview and applications, and all other details pertaining to the job posted.
Usually, you’d have to prepare your bio-data or resume, valid IDs, passport, NBI, Certificate of Trainings and Employment, and other documents.
What are the Duties and Responsibilities of a Housekeeper
The housekeeper as the name suggests, is the one tasked to keep the house clean and organized. As a housekeeper, you are expected to clean the house and the things within and around the house. You may do the laundry. You may be assigned in the kitchen to prepare and cook food. You may be assigned to care for the children or the elderly members of the family. And you may be asked to do some errands.
Depending on the size of the family of your employer, you may have to do all these duties or you may be assigned to do one special responsibility such laundry only, or kitchen only, or taking care of children only.
Your tasks and responsibilities will be discussed and explained to you by your agency and/or employer during your interview or when you qualify for the position.
Make sure to ask if the duties and responsibilities are not clear. Don’t hesitate to clarify or to ask questions.

Just do your duties and responsibilities with all your heart and with all honesty, and your job as a housekeeper will be smooth.
Respect your employer, talk to them in a nice way, do your work responsibly, and be honest at all times.
